About us
In 2014, the Tugan Falconry Club was formed, bringing together lovers of falconry and birds of prey.
The society is a unique phenomenon in Uzbekistan. Its goal is a noble one; to preserve and encourage the growth of the falcon population within the Republic.
There is a nursery at the Tugan Falconry Club’s headquarters, enabling the breeding of rare and endangered birds of prey, using modern equipment to create conditions necessary for breeding. The centre also has facilities for the rehabilitation of birds and their reintroduction back in to certain territories. In this way, the population of rare breeds that are unfortunately seen more commonly on the endangered species list can be boosted in the wild.
The Tugan Falconry club is made up of a strong team of people who are aware of the level of their responsibility for their winged charges and assess their progress in the nursery, for their subsequent rehabilitation. May of our staff are self taught in this area and are still learning all the time. The fact that Tugan Falconry Club rehabilitation centre and Tugan Falconry Club nursery are situated on the territory of inspection for control on protection and use of biodeversity and protected areas of State Committee for Ecology and Environment protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the supervision of experienced professionals, has aided us in making the first successful steps towards achieving our goals. One of the main principles of Tugan Falconry Club of the Company has been and remains the transparency and legitimacy of all the rehabilitation centre and nursery’s activities, as well as our participation in more general conservation work.
